I've found that I'm pretty bad with tragedy. When it comes to works with a reputation of being sad like punpun or my broken mari, I'd first have to skim thru the whole thing to prep myself for the actual 2nd read. I need to roughly know the parts where I should brace myself. And even after that, those works will actually affect my mood for some time.

Tbh I envy yall who can read tragedy like any other genre. Like even though they're so fascinating and every time u read them it feels like you come to understand something a bit more abt urself and other people, I feel like I'm getting punched in the gut every time I pick them up smh.

But there’s one I read where ML killed himself it’s kinda of refreshing read for me.

To be honest, I handle tragedies very well and I like reading them (which doesn't mean that they don't touch me).

There's enough tragedy in the world. Why would i deliberately read these genre works *proceeds to read oyasumi punpun, the girl at the shore*
