Pretty sure it’s just art style choices, sometimes Jongwu’s eyes turn into a light pink too
I thought the same thing! Like maybe some hidden hint cuz it goes from grayish icy blue to black but it could just be a coincidence (which is silly imo in a story where someone’s eye changing colors does in fact mean something lol) so it would be really cool if it did later on. I just find it strange when someone is coloring and consciously thinking about choosing a totally different color with no meaning behind it lol. I’m not gonna keep my hopes up but it would be so cool if it did later have some supernatural significance. Maybe I can post a Q about it on authors social media hmmm
