as someone who also grew up with pretty strict parents, in the sense that they have high academic and career centered expectations, i can’t help but to align with yeorums mom a little. i honestly don’t think it’s outrageous to wish for your child’s success by pushing them into a major that will lead to a steady career and income even if they’re not totally in love with it. yet then again, putting myself in yeorums position, it’s understandable how suffocating that kind of expectation can be especially if you think that your parents love is conditional in that way. overall, i hope he and his mom can mend their relationship, as i do believe she has what SHE THINKS is in his best interests at heart. but idkkkk i was kinda conflicted this chapter…
