There is a lot of deeply-rooted racism in asian cultures. I know this through firsthand experience and it’s unfortunately one of many, many things that is overlooked and covered up by the romanticization of Asian countries. The reality of Korea is that they can be extremely judgmental and exclusive towards anything that might set someone apart from what they consider the ‘norm’. That’s why the bullying culture is so awful
