I still don't get why making a bl set in the American Civil War period is wrong...
Some people were saying to write it into a fictional setting to resolve the problem, but I mean if it is the same story in a different setting, it won't be much different...?
I also read here about white saviour complex, but I just think the author wants to write her MC as non-racist. The execution might have been clumsy since all of you are angry. But I assure you it is the same kind of simplistic storytelling you would find in most BL stories. It isn't as deep as y'all make it seem... :')
