also to the people saying that jaxx will do their research and do the theme justice, sure the execution might be alright in the end, but i personally feel that it shouldn't be part of the plot in the first place, go ahead and make a power dynamic couple i dont care, but i think a sensitive topic like slavery shouldnt be the way
no i completely agree with that, its more of how its seen as a sensitive topic in korea, like how topics that should be seen as obviously wrong like racism (although not just racism) are often undermined, but how its commonly seen that when you bring up any topics related to the dark history of korea during the war they do seem to take it seriously, its just that they should also do the same for things like slavery, non-consensual themes commonly seen in media, etc.

man i wish this was just a good old cowboy x cowboy BL, the slavery theme is NOT it, genuinely baffling how this was seen as a good plot to make for your next webtoon after a 2 year break, like a genuine group of people like editors and other people assisting, not just the author, saw this and decided "yup theyre gonna LOVE this one"
oh but if it was based on the horrible stuff with korea's history of comfort women and their other horrendous oppressive incidents from that time THEN it would be bad huh? i fail to understand how people dont understand the implications of depicting slavery like this is extremely shitty behavior and how no one not even one person who was involved in the process of the official release of this even blinked an eye at it
if it werent jaxx im pretty sure more people would be complaining, but seriously, dont just think that "oh its the first chapter im sure they'll handle it well once it builds up", this shouldnt be the main dynamic of their relationship in the first place
