the reason why people are mad at this is because of the lack of research done on a serious historical event like the civil war and slavery and the genocide of native americans during this time. even past the abolishment of slavery they were not really letting slaves free they were enslaving them as slavery still exist until the 1940s. this retelling of a history so bloody and dark and serious done so lazily and done by someone who is not american by the way but for a bl smut is distasteful and weird. Us black people are rightfully so upset at this as its insensitive and serves to be a back burner for a smut while the confederate flag and symbols of white supremacy continue to get black people killed and is heavily alive in america. as an american this is distateful.
