Why is it the view of the Love interest less important? You're saying that when it comes to a story it's usually the main character who is the one with weight and questioning why the love interest is the one who is usually skinny or fit. In common stories where everyone is skinny there's always emphasis or importance put into what the love interest thinks and feels towards mc. Does it suddenly become not relevant because the main character is the one who has weight? We may see through the POV of the main character but it's still a story. The characters choose each other.
"Absolute Regression" if you're looking for a story where the love interest is the one with weight and main character is slim.

idk ur argument feels disingenuous, you have to realize just based off how manhwas are portrayed that fat people are already a small portion of the characters shown, a story with a fat couple is going to not be picked up by publishers because it will not be seen as a profitable investment. one can be excused as a niche market especially if they can dress it up as a curvy woman or a neet loser guy getting the hot girl
at the end of the day its got nothing to do with what fat people want, a skinny person has to be involved in someway for the story to get traction as far as most people are concerned.

If I’m honest I don’t get this point. Where did I say the love interest's appearance doesn't matter? My point is that it DOES matter. I just noticed a trend that when the female lead is plus-sized, the male love interest is usually slim, and when the male lead is plus-sized, the female love interest is usually slim. I was wondering why manhwas rarely pair two plus-sized romantic leads together.
