That's not really the issue ... it's the fact that his own lover called himself a 'humble slave'. It's fetishizing the slaves from that era... Also the fact the author just didn't even draw the slaves with proper faces is also a slap in the face.

No they also abused their powers on the Native American and not only took control of their territory but also made them work for them so yeah not necessarily black and during the slavery time there was Latino slaves but more in south so yes black community history is more pro eminent but they’re not the only one who went through slavery
