Well it’s mostly how this bl smut is gonna be based on a terrible history event that traumatized countless people and impacted the life of Native American and the black community wether or not they are African American, it’s also how it’s already picturing white supremacy, how the mc is pictured heroic for letting slaves free and giving them money (even tho it was clear he’s probably doing that for the wish his father asked « him « : preserve a good image of the family) so yeah personally that’s why but others might add on

Also the way the mc is pictured « heroic » for going to war and letting free/giving money to the slaves but it was mostly to keep the promise his father « asked » him which is keeping a good social statu and picture after he died and he got asked! To go to war by his dad because he probably wouldn’t have gone on his own since he doesn’t seem to have interest in the civil war even tho we are situated in the post civil war in the chapter 1

On a second reading, it is also quite telling that the slaves' faces are barely drawn..

then again, I don't usually go to yaois if I want ethics and accuracy. I wonder if I can read the piece with a critical mind ...

Yes it’s also an another fact but we’re aren’t sure if it was made on purpose since these characters wouldn’t affect the mc and ml story but the white ig do affect their story ??? If it happens continuously well that’s obv an issue but there’s stuff I’m not set on since it’s only the first chapter

If ur not well educated on the topic you should really not keep any of the historic « fact » said during the story since it could lead to misinformation
