I felt bad for the mom in the beginning and I think she’s acting this way because of her trauma from her abusive father (like continuing the cycle of toxic parenting bc that’s all she knows) not that it excuses it. But the dad also literally let the doctor brush over her symptoms during the pregnancy and didn’t advocate for her. The whole avoiding the bathroom thing was just an easy way for him to ignore the symptoms his wife was facing instead of actually helping her. I feel like he takes the easy way out for most situation, letting people walk over him just to avoid confrontation, avoiding his wife and kid because it’s easier than going against his wife. Like I know that he probably thinks it’s the right thing to do in that situation but it’s just feeding into the issue and furthering the misunderstanding. God this manga is infuriating. Someone help these kids.
