i think we're supposed to be seeing this from ijeong's pov. we see stuff happening to taerim but we don't have the full picture. we can put little pieces together but ultimately theres a lot unknown and i think thats how ijeong is seeing things. he sees bruises, he sees weird behaviors, he sees this odd brother figure- just like we do. we have a bit more insight than ijeong right now but i think it'll be explained more.
i think when it comes to his brother sexually abusing him, its likely. but i dont think taerim likes it, i think its moreover thats all he knows. this seems to be something happening from a young age so this is probably something hes adapted to and he doesn't know any other way.

I dont get how this chapter was just thrown it there out of the blue. No build up, no hints, nothing that could actually imply it or lead to it.
