the problem is serious considering racism and slavery is an actual thing in history and it should never be romanticized. This issue blew up so much it even reached Korean media sites (like theqoo), and many Koreans are baffled and urging the author to scrap the whole thing, saying it’s problematic and questioning whether they’re insane for handling such a sensitive topic in such a half-assed way. They’re also saying not to mess with other countries’ history using such a lazy premise !!
So the commenters here who were arguing there’s no issue with it or saying “let’s wait and see,” you’ve been exposed ! There’s no excuse for you anymore, not that there was any to begin with, it’s obvious many of you are either hypocrites, racists, or ignorant fujos, or all of the above, especially when even Koreans can recognize the problem here, and are asking the author to change the premise.
