Nonetheless Tei praying for Shuraka all that time is kind of with how they acted in these chaps giving he had love for Shuraka strongly period. My way of making the whole age gap less weird to me is thinking Tei was attracted to Shurakas spirit even when they first met but was obviously confused and conflicted and then met the new Shuraka and realized they are the same but also different, in the fact he's a fully formed adult.
I think Tei is way more down bad than hes acting bcus him noticing all the little details about Shuraka and desiring not only to have him to himself but to fulfill the duty of bearing his children, and the whole thanks for ur seed thing.
That plus the talking about his smell, how he "stretched himself" for Shuraka every night. And even besides Tei being chill in general, him accepting basically everything that is admittedly hard for him BECAUSE OF Shuraka as well but not being mad at Shuraka like ever.
