So I’m not very far in this, but the emperor said that the curse could only be transferred to a living thing and that’s why the empress transferred it to herself. Is there a reason why she couldn’t transfer it to an animal, plant, or hell just kidnap a criminal with her magic and transfer it to them. It just seems really unnecessary…
