If he wanted to approach, why not reach out to her when she was being abused by her relatives ? Did you want her only because she chose someone else ? And Clarisse too, the situation feels too orchestrated, so why would you go to someone who clearly seems dubious ?

Ngl. I feel bad for the prince because knowing someone since a kid and forgetting about you kinda hurts, especially if they have deep childhood (idk about them tho) HOWWEVER, it doesn't justify him on what he's doing rn to Clarisse. And he mentioned it's a promise as a kid. They're still kids </3.
I want to know more about the backstory to see if he deserves this or if he is just trashy like the others. Villains are not born villains, yk
