You're right good thing it got discontinued. I'm sure the author would have been subjected to much threats and harassment for things she knew she would get in trouble. There are many topics where you can center your work to. People complain about rape, misogynistic characters too not just this that people are enraged at. Calling it just fiction doesn't mean it's ok.
im honestly skeptical of how author will approach this topic, but I think its kinda funny how korean netizens (im korean as well) are extremely sensitive when it comes to our own culture and history (exhibit a: iu’s recent kdrama controversy) but pull this stuff. idk how much research she put into making this but shes kinda setting herself up.
