Nah, I think if I saw someone I was waiting for three years I wouldn't care about anything and just come right up and hug them (I get it he is trying to move on but he knew he would come back and it's not like he completely was able to "forget" about him). Even more, considering they parted ways for something none of them had control and missed each other a bunch, also he can still hesitate after, or not, that's up to what the author is thinking. My only complain is being hard to communicate, perhaps not calls but I'm sure bro can read a text unless he got his phone taken away or smth which i doubt. I feel like you're right with the time skip, but I don't want it to hurt my heart more
Shouldve gotten more content from in between to make the timeskip hit at all ngl but cute (and also maybe some hesitancy from bae jimin whos trynna move on cuz it just doesnt make sense to be so)
