I literally just came running from a social media platform when I saw the notice. After reading the chapter I completely understand why it got discontinued.
I don’t even know why the implication of slavery would even need to be addressed in a BL. Not only that it’s romanticizing slavery.
It’s such a huge risk to make a historical based story because you can’t sugarcoat events that were based on the oppression of people.
Especially with it being around the civil war… there was so much dehumanizing things going on for both indigenous and African American people as a whole.
I genuinely thought the story was going to be about two rouge cowboys falling in love. (⊙…⊙ )
