i like to think that it's just because he's that talented and knowledgeable, he manifested already into an older form. I think the polymorph bracelet just makes it easier to communicate, by letting the caster imagine their form. So maybe he just imagined himself a little bit older, when in reality, he should look like a baby. it's just that his past life memory, his knowledge combined too after the grand spell, made him visualize himself older than he looks in human form. we definitely missed out on those chubby baby cheeks hahahaha. anyways, just my theory.
