Hello! Sorry, are you asking why the current empress is a wife the emperor doesn’t want? If that is so, I think it’s implied that they were somewhat betrothed or maybe nearly-engaged before the emperor chose Ludovica (Shuri’s look-alike) because in one of the chapters, the current empress mentioned that she was humiliated and hates the emperor (this is only my opinion and not based on the author’s thoughts). So I think that while marriage talks are ongoing for the emperor and current empress, the emperor just decides to marry another woman which resulted in the current empress being humiliated back then. She also dislikes Ludovica due to that.

so I been seeing in camera app abt the women they wanted vs the wife they don’t want. it shows the current empress , Nora’s mother & the joanne mom.
This sounds so stupid but why would they include the current empress since they already had the shuris look alike in the past before she died.
