I get your point but I feel like Solo Leveling was a bad example. I feel like S Classes That I Raised is in the realm of action fantasy while Solo Leveling is an entire different breed being power fantasy. Solo Leveling is much closer to Solo Max Level Newbie or Maxed Out Leveling. S Classes That I Raised is much more similar to Greatest Estate Developer, Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint, and Lout of the Count’s family in terms of context. I wouldn’t really say that S Classes That I Raised is full on queerbait but more like queer coding instead. Besides, it’s just fandom culture to say “haha lol it’s canon” to ships because it’s fun? Queer fans can still enjoy an interesting and engaging piece of media like this one, you shouldn’t really hate on people in general cause that’s sort of just mean. But what do I know I’m just a bi dude on the internet :’)
Its funny how calling a gay man a homophobic slur and telling people to d13 over queerbait will always prove hyunjae yoojin shippers is the same breed as mha and narusasu fandom. They know I'm not a fetishizer fujoshi a woman so they call me all short of homophobic words. Shipping delulu will always be harmful and toxic behavior don't just reflect them but also the whole gay community
So what with delulu shippers? How in the word did they hurt you personally? I understand some girls do extra while shipping any random 2 men together in real life even tho they are homophobic towards Gl but what does that have to do with people having a harmless ship in fiction on this . There are always different type of audience who ship character with mc they think have more chemistry with and that's totally fine... Even in straight movie or drama they also has different ships but that doesn't mean i will get offended over it. Shld i start saying " as a Straight or bi... It is very hetero of you to ship blah blah "
Bcz of your bullshit ass, the comments section is so sad tdy i was hoping for a discussion about the novel or funny comments but here you're attention seeking just bcz YOU'RE GAY and everybody should listen to you bcz you think gay manhwa are only for you guys
I suppose I should talk as a fellow queer person? I’m aroace personally, so while I do not have the same experiences as you, a gay man, I am queer nonetheless. Anyways, I think your opinions on the validity of the queer aspects within S Class are your own right, but claiming that “shipping” is harmful and toxic is the same, fuckass nonsense I see all over twitter and the like, coming from the mouths of the straightest and most misogynistic men on the internet (do note, this is an exaggeration).
Shipping culture, believe it or not, is a very fairly old concept, dating back to the 70s with Star Trek, and it has been a fundamental part of fandom culture since then. Shipping is just fun! Is there any need for canonization? As well as that, queer shipping (slash or fem slash) has helped a lot of people with their own identity, myself included (which sounds odd considering I am aroace, but it is true).
That isn’t to say that I think canon queer media is not important, but queerness as an experience shouldn’t have to be confined to what is the “least delusional”!
Anyways, I know I didn’t address some other parts of your post(s), but I’m a bit tired right now so I’m going to end this at that! (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

Once again as a gay man, I’m always glad The S‑Classes That I Raised is not the #1 most popular action manhwa. Solo Leveling deserves every bit of its massive popularity, because it NEVER once used gay people or queerness as cheap marketing, bait or a cash grab. I don’t care if you think it’s mid at the end of the day, it earned all its hype purely through its action and story, none of this underhanded nonsense.
Hyunjae × Yoojin shippers seriously need to learn the difference between actual canon and whatever headcanons you’ve made up in your head. You all act like this ship is 100% real and completely undeniable, then turn around and call anyone who disagrees homophobic just for stating the plain truth: this is nothing but queerbait, made purely for attention and profit. Stop labeling people homophobic for calling out exactly what it is, and for saying you’re being delusional about it.
This is precisely why authors keep making queerbait instead of giving us real representation. They know tons of fans will always defend and excuse their garbage no matter what, so they happily string you along for years with those vague “implied” crumbs, making you guess forever and they will never, ever confirm it officially, not even at the very end. All the while, actual BL series, and other titles with explicit canon queer relationships, get barely any hype or recognition at all.
You can scream “homophobe” at everyone who pushes back as much as you want it will never change the cold, hard fact: the author wants every cent they can squeeze out of queer fans… while still keeping homophobic straight audiences perfectly happy and comfortable the whole time.
