A lot of MLs are yearners but the authors don’t really give them a hard time or EVEN DEATH. Sure, they also have their own hard time while yearning for FLs but they don’t get usually tortured and ridiculed to death like our yearning FLs. And of course these authors are also female themselves.
Yeah that's what upsets me. Because the mls also do the same things these girls do. They get mad, they treaten ppl, try to kill them. Abuse their authority. But it's seen as cute and attractive for mls and psychotic and stalkerish for girls.
Like unrequited love for guys is a trial but is a nuisance for girls.
I actually have no issue with possessive and obsessive male leads. I just hate the double standard with female characters.

Reminds me of a tiktok i saw of a girl planning a date with her boyfriend, and it was very obvious the girl was happier and visibly more excited to go on the date than him, but not because he doesn't like her, they both love each other very much. She is just more of an excited and open lover than him.
And all the comments were so gross, so many dides saying they would cheat on her and wouldn't treat her too well cause, she looks like sheblikes him so much and that's apparently an ick for them.
