It was kind of a forced Happy Ending
When ML said that he could find him, he was actually for real to the point he kind of scared me. The MC did manage to escape and he was gone for a good several weeks (i was actually super proud of him and the chasing arc will make you realize that MC is DEFINITELY not dumb, he’s calculating too, his pretty face just overshadows it). Like he intentionally leads ML to dead ends a few times UGHH IM SO PROUD. Tho he did end up captured again (not surprised) BUTT I loved how the ML suffered throughout the chasing arc. Like he wouldn’t eat or sleep and had to get IV dripped so he could survive and continue looking for MC (he was actually going insane frfr i loved seeing him suffer) he interrogated everyone, even the MC’s entire childhood neighborhood like who even does that (the ML..) but still he managed to capture him in the end (i was rooting for mc to run and hide but the damn blue energy gave him away…), they did kind of fight and ml treated him kind of harshly after that but not for long
MC unfortunately suffers from stockholm syndrome so he was doomed from the start. But ig on the bright side, the ML did kinda treat MC with more respect (by that i mean listen to him even a little at the end). And the they did come to terms with each other, but still I don’t like how ML just got everything he wanted… he’s still a jerk and MC is just too powerless against his money sigh. But MC did stand his ground too so I applaud him for that.

They do end up in a soft domestic lifestyle. Cheongwoo’s grandma is also there lol. ML knows what he did was horrible, and gave MC some time to himself for while(still doesn’t magically solve his wrong doings). Like he didn’t bother mc for a bit, still monitored tho i dont think he’ll ever let mc go but ig it’s the thought that counts???? Butttt ML does end up proposing to date MC (since they never established an exclusive relationship) with the intention of marrying. Idk how he’ll do that in Korea but ML does have money
Anyway, it ended with the author also acknowledging that this ending would never be virtuous or heroic, since ML did a lot of bad stuff. ML acknowledges he did a lot of bad stuff to MC but he’s very possessive, he wants everything the MC has (and in return give himself to MC as well) and he doesn’t necessarily regret it or more like he has no time to regret the past. Anyway, I have a lot of mixed feelings, I do want the ML to suffer a little more lololol, but ig at least Cheongwoo isn’t hurting anymore. ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
