author did some unnecessary shit

like this was really good, until the author murdered Munetaka's character right in front of our eyes because like ,,,,,,,, that was not necessary at all and completely out of character. Ayato did good by taking the baby and leaving in that situation.

HOWEVER.

i feel like the author completely left Munetaka's character on the wayside during the whole thing, and the way Yuuji and Ayato treated Munetaka afterwards was kinda shocking ?? like hello ????? if you aren't ready to leave him after that, COMMUNICATE. CALL HIM. they completely gloss over Munetaka's feelings and worries under the rug because "he's an alpha so it's completely ridiculous and uncalled for", which just. ugh. i hate to compare queer topics to heteronormative shit, but imagine for a moment that Ayato was a female model and Munetaka was exactly the same. (even if Ayato wasn't a woman in this scenario it wouldn't change the likelihood of this happening nor the severity, it's just that a lot don't take male victims seriously.)

the rate at which models, ESPECIALLY FEMALE MODELS (and let's be real, omegaverse is heteronormative homosexuality to the max, omegas are the women stand in) are sexually and mentally abused is staggering. it is completely understandable and REASONABLE for Munetaka's character to be worried for Ayato.

what isn't reasonable is what the author made Munetaka do, because let's be real again and admit that that shit was so forced. completely not in line with the story and a complete tonal shift. instead of ,,,,,, THAT they could've just had an argument on the topic for similar affect. a lot more reasonable especially when Ayato's temper is taken into consideration. Munetaka isn't shown to be violent or forceful AT ALL previously, so it really felt like the author just forced it in there for the content.

now i understand that not all abusers are outright abusive from the get-go nor show signs of it, but most do. predators as well. but this story ain't about abuse nor none that, so that begs the question WHY. (my guess is the author didn't think an argument would be serious enough or that they have a fetish)

so tl;dr: i'm gonna pretend that shit didn't happen at all so that this would just be fun happy times and domestic fludf and some smut. if ,,,, THAT ,,,,,, didn't happen, i'd give this a 4.5/5 stars, but because it did ,,,,,, 3/5 stars. would be 2/5 but i'm feeling generous.
