Discussing about our morals over fictional characters aside, lets discuss the fictional characters' morals(jk I'm just yapping, not here for a discussion). I really like that the author is letting us have glimpses into their mind and portraying them in a really fked up manner. It's obvious the MLs know they are in the wrong and had absolutely crossed the line, but they are trying so hard to justify it. I am kinda curious about their backstories and if going to church(just for MC) as two Gay/Bi men made them as repressed as the MC, because at the end of the day those two truly believe they are doing it for "MC's sake", and while that may be true to a certain extent due to how repressed MC is, it's apparant to everyone that they are doing it mainly due to their own selfishness.
I'm sitting on the fence with MC's reaction for now, because I feel bad for him. Controlled by his family, repressed, then now being manipulated by his friends, but again these friends are trying to attain freedom for him in a really fked up manner so it's an entire morality dilemma. This honestly could've been a serious topic on sexualities and how familial/societal norms surpresses individual identities, and how over the top love can bring more harm than good, BUT it's also obviously a BL written for the pwp enjoyers so there isn't much to be discussed except who he'll end up with. (Atp I'm just wondering if Ian and Hyeonu will get on it together and make it a poly rs because I remember this author prefer to have 1v1 endings)
