liu basically ends up worshipping the ground yeehyeon walks on, like that man is so in love later on (and the smut gets better each time)
sidenote: the next scene is my absolute favorite, we’re definitely in for a treat when it comes back
i can’t say much but trust me, Liu fell for yeehyeon the second he saw him. In the novel, everyone describes him as someone who doesn’t let anyone in his life, and he doesn’t care about others people problems. But with yeehyeon, he just can’t help but feel sorrow even for the slightest problem like him accidentally hurting his pinkie toe. He also notices every single thing that yeehyeon does and reflects on it, that shows just how obsessed he is lol. He is a green flag throughout and through, even tho he went to a certain lenght just to chain yeehyeon to himself but you’ll see What chapter are you in the manhwa?
If he fell for him at first sight, then why was he so damn rude? I like him right now, and Liu does seem like a green flag, but I'm just so tired of the stereotypical narcissistic CEO persona.
hahah it’s just his way to “welcome” new people he doesn’t know. yes i agree it was pretty rude, hes the type of person who’s kind to people in his circle. He apologised for everything after. If you have time you should read the novel, so beautiful and you can feel the love and yearning coming from him…
I read up to the most recent updated part of the manhwa. liu is still unlikeable but the smut is good. I just dont like how he thinks of people in that way unless theres something in it for him. I guess he’s just not my kind of person. Yeehyeon also just lets liu thinks of him as whatever and its pissing me off. Sure liu understood yeehyeon’s painting and empathized, but thats just not a good enough reason for his other shenanigans in earlier chapters. I hate to agree with the other unlikeable side characters, but they’re kinda right. liu’s hatred towards pheromones is more than just that. he is pretty arrogant and assumes the worst about everyone around him. Arrogant because how could you possibly think you’re the most right in any situation is what I’m getting at. That’s what I don’t like about him. Im not sure if hes the exact same in the novel though? I’m guessing something traumatised him for him to act that way, but I don’t think that’s valid for how he treats others in general. You don’t have to be the kindest, but he made so many offensive assumptions about yeehyeon. Even now, some of the stuff he says, I find revolting. Like not respecting yeehyeon’s decision to quit painting. I’m glad yeehyeon feels inspired, but liu is just wayy too arrogant with the way he approached the situation. Liu has inheritance money so his life, no matter what, is always gonna be easier than yeehyeon, so a rich person treating someone who has struggled their whole life doesn’t get to be hella rude like that as if they’re all knowing. You gotta roll around in the mud first to be that bitter (these are just my conclusion, I gave the manhwa a try, and I do look forward to more, but I don’t like liu)
im glad you read it!! From what I can see it’s not your cup of tea hahah. Yes, Liu does come of as arrogant sometimes, and his hatred for pheromones goes beyond than a simple disliking. That’s because he thinks alphas and omegas should connect more intimately without that, they as soon as they catch the scent of the other they’re just going to not think rationally. It’s kind of his way to saying that he’d rather have a normal relationship no? Their gap in richness and lifestyle is often mentioned in the novel, yeehyeon does talk about the fact that Liu didn’t have to go through what he had to go through. Also, Liu sees rights through yeehyeon, that’s why he doesn’t seem to try to lie about who he is because their age gap makes it easy for liu to see thru a 22 year old thoughts, but not always. This will have a pretty long hiatus in my opinion, so when season two starts maybe you’ll have different perspectives

I do agree that when it comes to consent, Liu respects it well, but in my opinion, that is not enough to make him a green flag Compared to other bls, that can be rare, but I don’t wanna make him as the standard for green flags because he’s not exactly kind. He is also too self righteous where he thinks that his version of ‘good’ and ‘bad’ is the only ‘right’ version! He is a doting bf, I can see that, but how he treat others and the changes he’s willing to make for the cause that he believes in… also plays a big role as to what kind or person he is. And for the amount of concerns that he shows when it comes to pheromones, I don’t see him working hard enough towards making a change. He is a golden alpha who happens to also be from a powerful family. He has the brains and the funds to start a revolution. If he was kinder and actually wanted change, he would’ve attempted at making that change instead of grouping people and labelling them as ‘lesser than’ for following the norms that they all were conditioned to follow. (I’m sorry I love babbling)
I do understand what author is trying to get at when they made liu that way, I just don’t think its valid hehe. The art is beautiful, but this trope is common so I’m not like super bothered, although it was hard reading through the chapters when liu speaks on his arrogance nonsense

Well it's your opinion because my point is I read the novel and some of us are considering liu as a green flag, because of how he treat yeehyeon in the novel that will happen in the manwha in the future and what do you mean by "not in other bls" base on what I read,liu have a reason why he speak to yeehyeon that way in the beginning. (lol my many explanation) but it depends on you how you see him! and recommend you to read the novel
I know this is not a big deal, but I really disliked the top for the way he was treating the MC at the beginning and for switching up after he found out that he is someone worth his time. So rude for no apparent reason. Especially when he told the MC to leave the room because of ShuShu, I was fuming bro!
