You’re talking about much worse stories with SA and violence but this entire story was clearly revolved around the concept of slavery which in its very literal core IS violence and filled with horrific stories of rape. So let’s be clear, it’s one thing to write a fictional story that has a toxic male lead and the mc still falls in love with him that doesn’t represent any accurate reality, it’s an ENTIRELY different thing to create a fictional story based on a historical period of time where thousands of people were stolen from their countries and treated like aliens for centuries.
I really looked forward to this story and it's sad when it got cancelled... People are so snowflakes... it's just fiction based on history. I don't understand them... like they don't like when it's not accurate, don't like it when it's accurate then... there are much worse stories like Bl with SA, violances which some people don't mind it and romanticize it... so what? They got pissed over this?
