As much as I agree with an age gap veing problematic in real life when it is about the relationship of a teenager (be it a one year age gap, 5 years or 10 or even a teenager being in a relationship at all)... this is fiction. If you don't like it you can easily skip it and NOT read it. I also have a problem with a big age gap in a heterosexual relationship both in real life and in fiction, so I don't read books where the age gap is just too big. I also don't go after the author of those books and harass them or attack them or disrespect them for writing a story where there is an age gap, because IT'S FICTION and I can easily just go read what I do like.
If you don't have the capacity to separate fiction from real life, then don't read books.
