ever since i started reading this manhwa, i couldn't put my finger on what specifically made it feel so comforting but i've just realized the comfort i'm feeling is from seeing yuwon accept dohun... dohun was a weird kid, but i think deep down he was as pure as any other child after seeing how attached he was to that little storybook. i love that yuwon was able to open dohun's eyes with his perspective of love and family, that's the kind of sentiment that'd provide relief even to readers experiencing similar traumas and help them feel seen/understood
+ i'm on the spectrum so i heavily relate to dohun's social ineptness as well as his obsessive behaviors, not for reasons as terrible as his (fortunately) but for being bullied in middle school and having a bad family upbringing in my highschool years, i find myself relating to both dohun and yuwon in my own respective ways. plus, i always felt like these weirder depictions of relationships in manhwa are sometimes better at expressing the complexities of love and emotional attachments than anything i've experienced in real life. some people are just so dishonest and indirect that their "realness" seems more fake than that of a fictional character ヽ(`Д´)ノ
