As I say to my friends, there is nothing wrong with being average; it means you are pretty enough to have someone hold the door for you but not enough for people to stalk you. They are close enough that being a couple doesn't look odd but we are used to seeing the "more delicate" person in relationships be the prettier one.
That's why I like stories where there's a pretty man and an average woman, because it really goes into detail about how society has framed how someone's partner should look. Since most don't knows what Malocen looks like and it was a political marriage, he is spared from prying eyes.

It may be unusual opinion but i have to ask. Does someone feels like the designs of uke and seme are very different. Like seme is so pretty in every panel and uke is just… mid. Like there are panels where he is beautifull but most are mid sorry maybe his outfits as women are what is throwing me off because they are ugly aswell. Beside that i love the plot i just wanted to get it out hahah
