i dont get the smell thing and spraying..also why did he freak out lol??

Menthol is a really strong minty smell that’s used in many pharmaceuticals (and cigarettes) for a cool, icy sensation; usually for pain or decongestant relief. The actor friend could be injured and used some sort of ointment that left him smelling minty, or he could be smoking/vaping. The actor friend spraying cologne on himself is a way to mask the smell since if his manager finds out what he’s been doing, he’d get scolded since it’s affecting his health
