I needed to pause reading because one person shouldn't get away with being so stupid. Spur of the moment stupidity is normal, but when you've been hurt, been warned to stay away AND had the time to think through what you're about to do and still stay stuck on stupid....it's too much. I skip their slow burn misunderstanding scenes, and am honestly just here to see if the emperor overpowers his dad and the duke and gets it together, and for the kid.
