This is so sad :((( it reminds of how author's nerd project had to do this also towards the end of her story cus she has heart issues, like ppl really love being so judgemental
Do you know then if chaper 45 will be the last one?
If you go to their Twitter (I found the link through mangaupdates site) they posted saying they had hoped to be able to write to the proper conclusion, sorry and regretful they couldn’t but glad they were able to at least wrap it up. So not sure if it was a serialization issue, or health related.
So give the author some grace since they weren’t able to flesh out their story as much as they wanted to
