But the ML really did something worse to FL that is why a lot of readers hate him and his fam.

I don’t blame anyone for hating him or wanting someone else to be the ML, everyone has a right to their own opinion. I get the overused trope of a shitty ml did stuff in his past and wow he magically likes her now. The thing that makes me able to enjoy his character and the story itself is how the narrative doesn’t defend him despite it all. I’m tired of the boring ML that worship the mc and the ML that are terrible and the narrative excuses it because it was a “mistake.” I don’t know if I worded it right, but I just wanted to explain my view point a little more.
I don’t know, i think a lot of people will disagree with me on this but I really like the ml. I do think he should grovel and not be forgiven easily, but I like how complex his character is compared to a lot of shitty ml that do the worse shit ever and his actions while not right do make sense. I like how everyone is flawed in a way, even the mc. If anyone, I dislike the ml father .-
