Why all this hype?

What a load of old rubbish.

The art is atrocious, the plot is weak and predictable, and every single character is more useless than the last. You get endless fights that make absolutely no logical sense, villains with zero depth, and a protagonist who is the ultimate generic hero stereotype - only for him to finally wake up five chapters before the bloody end, long after the rest of the world has already kicked the bucket. At some point, I genuinely agreed with the idea that they should have just executed Yuji right at the start: it would have saved us the entire miserable slog.

The first villain arc feels like a terrible rip-off of MHA, with Mahito looking like a budget Shigaraki. The plot is incredibly shallow and becomes boring after just a handful of chapters because it’s as predictable as your average Dragon Ball fight, except Itadori is completely useless 99% of the time, doing nothing but catching beatings while everyone else dies giving it their all.

Then comes an endless stream of completely pointless battles where characters we’ve never seen before (always with powers that rip off MHA) slaughter each other and vanish into thin air.

As for the main hero, Gojo: he disappears for half the manga, only to pop back up and get himself killed after a million mind-numbingly dull and dreadfully drawn chapters. Then Itadori finally wakes up, kills Sukuna, and suddenly Sukuna becomes some sort of afterlife love interest.

What an absolute piece of trash.
