im answering as someone who didnt the manhwa, n its probably bc of the artstyle. at least for me it looks kinda "dry"
Same thought. Honestly I wouldn't be able to read this if it weren't for Flashlight. Artstyle in both stories gave the same feeling
Or that it's too "serious," and the characters not only look mature but are 30+ in age.
I guess people have their own tastes for sure- to me the art is wonderful and I feel like it really fits with the themes of the story overall. I've heard a lot of people think Jake is ugly could be another reason its not super mainstream. I don't need my characters to look like pretty boys! Give me some mature adult men!! RAA!
YEAH IM WITH U, I mean, I would never judge people but for me I don't like the bottom to always younger, have feminine features, and always act submissive whilst the top is either abusive or dominant. I mean, I want a mature man with another mature men, not younger boys :> (again, only imo!)

Because they look like actual men, the bottom doesn't look like a child and there isn't an insane power imbalance dynamic

I replied to someone else but yeah, compared to some other BL manhwas, Shutline do look more dry
why is this not as popular as all those other bl manhwas???? What's happening? It has everything it needs to be super mainstreamed in the bl community...this has plot, awesome characters and everything in between
