basically ml came from a very impoverished n ruff bg and they used to know each other as kids and mc was basically the only person he got comfortable around but due to his home life he developed some rlly bad mental issues
he's been on meds for years but he doesn't like taking them due to how it affects him
hes fixated on the mc and wants to get close to him but he feels rlly guulty for lying
but he knows that mc suspects him and knows that if mc found out the truth he would drop interest in him so he kept up the lie
he wasn't planning to ruin the suspicion the mc felt but person he left his other phone with ended up answering for him
he was planning to tell mc in that cafe scene where they met the old bsf but he heard that mc has trust issues so he doesn't tolerate any liars and he panicked even more
he ended up abandoning the account and tried to get close to mc irl instead
they do end up getting close but mc finds out and they split up and then they reunite for a short while and mc asks him to try to get better mentally first so they dont talk for a year and then yada yada they talk it out theres some silly misunderstandings they end up tgth and are rlly cute
