Both didn't agree, in mc and other lunas case they were trained and brainwashed since young that they were to follow and abide to everything the sols said or did because that was their role. Ml was "selected" (maybe) because 1 he belongs to an influencial family and 2 lunas knew he'd follow after mc to stop him. (Could be a spy or rumor tht told them)
In order to bring mc to their side or "understand" their cause they said that he was raped which caused mc to get enraged and feel broken since everything he was told since young and everything now was contradictory.
We can see this in one of the scenes where mc(old) was being used by many people at once and seemed numbed or used to it.
wait wait, both parties agreed, they literally sent him away... now they're mad they're being used for pregnancy and rape? but- didn't you- give them away..? and also there have been MULTIPLE... so, why are they beating on one person? I'm so confused, you gave him away and now you're mad? I don't get it.
