My guess is that Sunhwa may reluctantly help them...eventually, and like bare minimum. It's because he clearly wants something from the MC($$$), but he's not particularly emotionally tied. That's why he can still hook up with others including Mokyeon. But we also see that he does care about his friends to some degree. When Mokyeon got upset and made his own ears bleed, we see Sunhwa freak out and worry.
