My wild theory is that Ros is connected to the god of love somehow, not only bcs of the name being 'ros' of 'eros' but also bcs his character/role in the story mostly shows all the traits of someone bearing emotions of pure love. His love for Psyche was pure and instant, just like how it would be if he was struck with a golden arrow. But even if my theory is incorrect, I feel like Ros still has a big part to play in the story.
