Honestly I didn't have much expectations going into this and I sure as hell don't have any coming out of it but genuinely they needed to get their shit together like YESTERDAY. And tbh, weirdly enough I'm more on the MC's side in all of this. I mean he made some pretty valid fucking points. Not only was he basically suffering for 7 years being tied to the ML because of his guilt for liking the ML (something the ML never once tried to soothe or address), but also the MC carried the weight of their entire friendship history, and the amount of "favors" the ML apparently did for him, even though he didn't ask for them (Ie, the whole argument about the hospital just now). Along with that the ML has kept the MC stuck in this toxic cycle, while taking advantage of the MC's feelings enough to get him to stay for as long as he did, without being considerate enough around the MC to understand how his words and actions hurt him Every. Single. Day. Along with this he was very intentionally manipulative throughout their relationship (atleast throughout the little bits and pieces we saw so far) even though it seems like he's the one who initiated and even encouraged it up to this point, knowing how the MC felt about him. Add all of this toxicity and basically emotional abuse, with the fact that he was also pushing enough pheromones onto the MC to CHANGE HIS SECONDARY GENDER (the very thing that was at the root of the MC's complex about himself and their relationship) and leaving the MC with absolutely zero kind words to the very end. I mean, honestly I cant even think of why people are considering their misdeeds to be equivalent. Not to say that the MC hasn't had his share of toxicity, along witb complacency and enabling, but in the end he really wasn't the underlying issue between the two.
