As much as I am angry at how ML abused Dam, it still make my heart ache at how the crown prince suffered from losing Dam. Yes. He definitely deserved it. Still I couldn't help but feel sad for him when I read how deeply sadded and depressed he was thinking that he has lost dam forever when they fabricated and lied about dam death to help him escape the palace. The crown prince was crazy for dam. He galdly drank poison from Dam when offered to him knowingly. He knew dam is trying to harm him over and over and he let him. He knew how much he has hurt dam. He would do anything to help him heal even just a little or quench his resentment in anyway. During the period he thought Dam was dead, the crown prince try to take him own life. Only then, they reveal to him that Dam is still alive.
I am towards the end of the story. Not sure if they are end game. The crown prince let Dam go as Dam tried to kill himself. The crown price did his best to make amend but the damage he did prior was just too deeply rooted. Dam could not trust him and just being with him is a torture. Also his brother, the only family left died because of Dam. Dam has lost all will to live on. After ML managed to save Dam from death. He let him leave. Crown prince one sided love last over a decade. Dam returned to the captial 6 years later. The story has yet to reveal if Dam will go back to him. I read some spoiler says they are end game.
