i fear going through the trial-and-error phase is part of the whole process, but tutorials definitely help a lot! my suggestion is to take the time to really learn your features and figure out what works best for you. for instance, i have soft features (a round face, an undefined jawline, and full lips), so i usually opt for a light, soft look but lately ive been loving big fluffy lashes since i find they accentuate my round eyes
++ since you mentioned that people tell u it looks like u don’t have anything on, it could be because either: 1) you’re not using enough product, or 2) you have low visual weight, which generally suits softer, more subtle makeup. if that’s the case, even if you are wearing makeup, it may not be immediately noticeable and that’s totally normal! experimenting with different techniques and product amounts can help u figure out what gives you the look you’re trying to go for

I really wanna get better at putting make up, everytime i put it, my mom and mostly ppl around tell me that it barely there which makes me sad ngl bc I really take my time to do it, do yall have ppl channels or something like this can help me to get better...
