The backstory makes sense... shitty parents one after the other...

Okay well now I wouldn’t say his parents were shitty, this happens a lot with teen pregnancy, it’s actually better that he was sent away while his parents tried to get their life together, u can’t raise a child in a bad situation like that, so I would def not call his parents shitty because they were broke teenagers especially the mother that was suffering from postpartum depression

And as for the other parents they definitely loved him, definitely not shitty.
