Decent but Underwhelming

These two are perfect for each other; Keith is a horribly rude and disrespectful man who only learns to be kind to another person once he can no longer ignore his sexual attraction and Yeonwoo is, in lack of a better term, a massive bird who takes nothing but disrespect and an assault because of his love for Keith, a man who seems to show him almost nothing but contempt for years. This story was fine up until Keith rapes Yeonwoo, using pheromones to subdue him like that alphas at the party who sexually assaulted Yeonwoo and was the entire reason they grew closer because of Yeonwoo’s PTSD. Keith assaulting Yeonwoo completely negates their relationship since it seems no alphas are ever punished for assault; not the ones at the party, not Keith (except for a pathetic and creepy chasing arc), and not the alpha in the after stories at the polo club. I can’t fault the story itself, it knows what lazy omegaverse tropes people eat up and then lazily tacked on an amnesia subplot to give Keith a minute arc since all we see during the chasing arc is him fall back onto destructive, pathetic coping mechanisms. And how could I possibly forget whatever is going on with Keith’s fathers, that entire tidbit was so off putting and recontextualizes this universe to be even worse than directly shown on screen. Not to mention all of the horrible language used surrounding assault, the fact Keith blames Yeonwoo for being sexually assaulted and is not forced to apologize is insane. Yeonwoo quitting and the coming back is when I should have known this story had nothing to say about assault in omegaverse and should have left it at that. TLDR; rich people will suck no matter the universe.
