IT IS I think you also have to think that, if they had stayed in the same predicament that they are right now—where Cheol is still living with his family, that would’ve taken a toll on his mental health as well. In a different way, but unable to be with Minyoung the way he wants to and having to endure the abuse of his brother who wants Cheol dead is not ideal. Both situations aren’t ideal, but either way it would’ve ended bad. However, in one scenario Minyoung was able to keep Cheol safe, which is the present.
Minyoung's method is wrong :(( he's so wrong for outing cheol like that, but it's the only way he thinks to keep him safe, it did, but at what cost? Cheol hated him, for years... got married and became a bum, it took a toll in his mental health and he knows that, all of it, almost seems like it's planned (and with this chap i think it is) but it's for his safety, and now (present timeline) that he's back, he got the money, connections and people to protect cheol, is it too late or what :((( haaaaa i hope they made up, this long ass backstory making mah head hurt
