Yeah, this would’ve been the easy way. However, I think that’s why the whole discourse with minyoungs uncle was so important. Minyoung isn’t “anyone” at the moment. He doesn’t have the capabilities to protect cheol the way he wants to yet, and it’s the mental battle that Minyoung keeps fighting. He knows Cheol is stubborn and actually won’t abandon his family just like that, as well as his studies when he can’t even openly admit he’s with Minyoung to his friends. So the “best last” resort was to make Cheol stay away from his family until Minyoung could take care of them and him properly. I wish they could’ve ran away too but sigh
I feel like Minyoung could've just said some shit like "let's move in together" or "run away with me" amd Cheol would've been down Immediately going for outing him???
