Hey! I agree that the fujoshi in this story was super uncomfortable to read about. She basically embodied the fujoshi stereotype. It’s been a while since I’ve read this but I believe she was fantasizing about her own brother as well? Super weird.
However, most fujoshi that I’ve seen or met are not like that. Many of them are queer as well, and most I’ve seen identify as lesbians. So typically no disrespect towards gay men! I’ve seen a lot of people call fujoshi fetishizers, and while I’m sure there are some out there like that, calling an entire group a name like that seems a bit extreme. I myself have many queer friends (none of them men) that are very dear to me. I understand your concerns, but the character in this story is just an exaggerated persona for (failed) comedic effect. I just wish there were more women in yaoi stories that are depicted as genuinely supported gay couples instead of being portrayed like this. Again, I’m sure there are women out there like this, but most are not. It’s harmful to women to label them all this way.

It's kinda annoying when A girl or a woman supports gay couples ,They got called Fujoshi That's so disgusting honestly, It doesn't feel supportive it's just fetishizing, Especially when a girl suspected someone's gay it's not even about having a gaydar.(Mind you fujoshi means likes to read yaoi)
And most of the time This girls "doesn't" support them it feels like they have something to fan girl on like What!? Like his sister , Since she's a fujoshi, it feels like she's just doing it to her entertainment and not supporting her brother.
Like girls or women can be allies without being fujoshi, and it's called being an open minded person(also the fact Most of the time people who are fujoshi are not allies)
And i hate that one tweet that said "She's fujoshing out" i was like? Maybe she's Just really shocked and happy, People can be themselves this days without discrimination
Anyway it's Just weird calling a supportive women, a Fujoshi ,also sounds like Only fujoshi accept gay people
