You know, this really proves it's all about perspective because this is no different from those bl with an older bottom x younger top who's a child when they meet like Blossoms of the White Night or A Lovely Meal. I don't hate those manwhas (usually I'll find something else the authors did right and I'll still enjoy the read) but even I have to admit they just don't reject the kid when they NEED to as the older person. It's just painted in a different light, glorified and romantized with a little time apart to make it seem okay
It’s different because ray took advantage of ban’s vulnerability. Also ban never even asked for sex but that was ray’s response to his confession. When it’s younger top trope usually the bottom is against it first while the top is the one who’s forceful or keeps pushing their interest.

It's different but the same. Ray is abusive on top of everything else, but in both cases, it's problematic. Whether the younger person is pushing for it doesn't absolve the older person of any guilt imo
